Richard Scheuermann

My name is Rich Scheuermann, and I'm a senior English major at Kent State University. Though I am a native of Cleveland, Ohio, I still have a great reverence for all things sports (or maybe it's just for that reason that I love sports so much; I think I'm still trying to figure that out). Our pro-level sports teams may not have always fared so well, but college sports has always been a passion of mine. I grew up, and still remain, a die-hard Ohio State fan. Now that I attend Kent State, I've fallen in love with the Cinderella that is the Mid-American conference. I was always an active kid, and continued playing basketball and baseball throughout high school. My enthusiasm for sports has carried over into my writing, and I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to write for On Campus Sports. It has been a dream of mine for many years to become a professional sportswriter, and I believe this site will be a great way to further my portfolio and to also gain greater experience.
