As of Wednesday night, Baylor (20-2, 7-2 Big 12) A pattern is emerging with Baylor basketball games: Pierre Jackson is always coming through at the end.

The Bears knocked off Texas A&M, 63-60, Wednesday night to give the Bears another road win and moving them one step closer to a Big 12 title.

Baylor (20-2, 7-2 Big 12) was led by Perry Jones with 15 points and 5 rebounds and Pierre Jackson with 14 points and 4 rebounds. Quincy Acy chipped in with 11 points and 4 rebounds.

Texas A&M (12-9, 3-6 Big 12) was led by David Loubeau with 16 points and 2 rebounds, followed closely by Ray Turner with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

The Aggies were without star point guard Dash Harris and second leading scorer Khris Middleton, both out due to injuries. The Bears took advantage and seemed to have this one in the bag after 16-5 run helped put them up by eight going into halftime.

The second half was a different story. About three minutes into the half, the Aggies stepped up on both offense and defense with some steals and easy layups leading to a 14-3 run to take a two-point lead. As soon as the run ended, Baylor put on the heat.

The game stayed close for nearly nine minutes, with no team leading by more than five points. In order to seal the deal Baylor needed Jackson’s superb late-game play. His steals, three pointers and two final free throws are what gave the Bears just enough pull out a win.
